    Remembering Aspen

    We brought Aspen home as a puppy on our twin daughter’s last day of kindergarten and she was put to rest during their winter break from college so she has been a part of so much of our family. She was primarily my dog though and would follow me all over the house and miss me if I was gone more than a day. She earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine, Companion Dog, Trick Dog Advanced and Therapy Dog Novice. We volunteered through Pet Partners and the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces to bring her love of people to military members at Fort Carson and the Air Force Academy. Aspen was truly a gift to many in her twelve years and will be greatly missed.
