    Artist Bio

    Calling Colorado home for nearly 40 years, Rose Anne was born in Iowa and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She has been interested in art since grade school and has been an avid amateur photographer for decades. Though she took a few art classes in school, she considers herself a mostly self-taught painter and photographer who switches between those creative disciplines easily. A chance meeting in 2007 with a local art instructor introduced her to the world of watercolors. As a challenge, she began painting animals in 2016 and discovered her passion for painting beloved pets. Her work has been on display at the Niza Knoll and Littleton Depot Art Galleries in Denver, the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts in Palmer Lake, and The Kreuser and G44 Galleries in Colorado Springs. Several of her pet portraits are on permanent display at Fox Run Veterinary Hospital in Monument.

    Artistic Influences and Style

    Photo-realism. I paint exclusively on a synthetic surface called Yupo, which results in a unique and very realistic portrait that captures a precious pet’s personality and soul.
