    Remembering Ruby

    Also known as: Ruby Red, Ruby Tuesday, Ruby Doobs, “Ruby the mooch” Ruby was a red and white border collie we adopted January 12, 2009, from the Pikes Peak Humane Society. She came into our lives as a very scared and fearful adolescent dog, distrusting of human contact and of other dogs. We gently and lovingly welcomed her into our home, never demanding that she give us more love and attention or “normal dog” responses than she could give. We were able to love and be loved by her for 13 years. Though her entry into this world may not have been kind, her exit was beautifully orchestrated by Dr. Kelly and us on February 21, 2022.
