White Whiskers Aging Pet Care is a supplemental veterinary care service that works with YOUR clients to fine-tune solutions for the dynamic needs of their fragile, senior pets.
Old age isn’t a disease, but it does invariably result in problems and complications. Diagnosing and managing the complexities and subtleties of age-related fragility through a patient’s senior years is time intensive and often unrewarding for a busy veterinary clinic. As patients age, their ability to visit a clinic setting can diminish, limiting our exposure to them and challenging our ability to provide adequate care. Furthermore, while your clinic is setup to provide for all of your patient’s medical needs, you may not be optimized to provide for a client’s emotional needs when those clients are ultimately forced to say goodbye to their family members.

White Whiskers Aging Pet Care helps your practice by managing
patients (and their owners) during this difficult chapter:
- Our mobile service comes to your patients where they feel safe and secure
- Our specialized pain-management program headed by Dr. Kelly Hutchison balances pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain mediating modalities to maximize patient comfort
- Our in-home consultation addresses the individual challenges of each senior pet’s environment
- Patient updates and medical notes are shared directly with your office as your client’s primary care provider
- Flexible at-home euthanasia services ensure that the passing of a pet is as gentle as possible for both patient and client.
Additionally, it’s important to define what White Whiskers Aging Pet Care is NOT:
- We are not a primary care service
- We do not offer vaccines or general wellness appointments
- We focus our attention on the aging pet population although some younger animals who receive terminal diagnoses may qualify for our hospice care.
- We are also not an internal medicine service. We focus on providing comfort and improving both the quality and quantity of life. Our goal is to work WITH you to provide best outcomes.
- Our capacity for complicated diagnostics ends at the physical exam
- They’re your clients. We refer back to you, their primary care provider, for their necessary diagnostics.
- Our ability to cater to your clients who may not be able to easily make an office visit and otherwise would remain unseen has the potential to increase diagnostic imaging and lab work referrals for your clinic.
Often by the time a patient has reached old age, their owner feels like a member of your clinic’s family. We would like to be an extension of that family which serves to expand and enhance the level of care your clients already receive.
