Bandit, lovingly known as Boio or Bandito Dorito. My boy, my best friend, my travel partner, my four legged therapist, my soul dog… telling him goodbye feels like the end of an era.
15 years ago he was an adorable ball of blue merle fluff that was placed into my lap as a gift during a local county fair…and little did I know that moment would change my life forever. Bandit was by my side throughout high school, a college degree, when I got my first job as a vet tech, as the ring bearer in my wedding, and every moment in between. Throughout our time together, moving from place to place across the state, he got to be many things: a farm dog, a show dog, a therapy dog, a mountain town dog…but always the best dog.
He loved all things edible, made friends with every human and creature he met, and always impressed people with his intelligence, manners and good looks. He and I made the best memories together that will be with me for a lifetime. Thank you Boio, until we meet again. There will never be another Aussie like you.
